Every person or business owner who has a website needs to create a strong engaging first impression with the words they use to describe their products or services. Words printed on line are the equivalent to the first face to face introduction at networking events. Today I’m going to be speaking with Marlene Oulton, aka “The Words Lady” copywriter and editor extraordinaire on how to make the most effective use of words.

Learn exactly why your online words are important and why you need a word-savvy editor.

Marlene began her love affair with the written word at approximately the age of 4, from having her favorite Auntie reading her bedtime stories in her rural homestead, and to this day, this melding of the mind and heart with words still continues.

Her attention to minute details and desire to create clear, concise, and captivating prose for her clients is what motivates her to get out of bed each morning, stare for hours at her computer monitor, and wears out 3 keyboards a year from the continual pounding of her fingertips. (Her local computer accessory store adores her!)

Some people get ‘high’ on caffeine, sugar, alcohol and other unmentionable substances. Marlene gets hers naturally when she see’s an email in her inbox saying “Thanks for the super job!” in the subject line.

She resides in Moncton, New Brunswick, on the east coast of Canada with her very significant other (who shall remain nameless to protect his identity, poor man) and fur child Angel, their White West Highland Terrier (or terror, depending on the dog’s mood on any given day).

Marlene Oulton, resident wordsmith/editor of Write Choice Virtual Assistants and BulletProofers.com, derives great satisfaction from assisting authors, writers, coaches and entrepreneurs produce clean, crisp, and concisely written articles, newsletters, website copy, and other literary works.
