The benefits of individual counseling are numerous, especially if you are able to release parts of your “story” or patterns in your life that no longer serve you. My approach to counseling is rooted in the deep belief that while our story may serve us, it may also prevent us from fully living the life that we are meant to live.
So many of us are carrying pain, suffering and shame from our past and keep reinforcing it through the thoughts, behaviors and actions that we live day to day. Our past influences our present moments and the decisions we make guide us into our future. If we continue to live our life from past experiences, change is not possible. Change can only occur if we are aware of how our past influences our future. By becoming aware, we bring forth the unconscious patterns that we may find our selves repeating every moment. Conscious awareness allows unconscious patterns to be released.
My commitment to you and the work we do together, is to bring forth the unconscious parts of your self that may no longer be serving you such as old beliefs, habits, attitudes or behaviors; a pattern interrupt of sorts, so that you can fully step into living a life of compassion, forgiveness, love and peace, not only towards yourself but towards all others. This is done in an environment that is safe, nurturing and sacred.
The personal experience that I offer is through my own life path of uncovering those unconscious parts of my self that were keeping me in a state of anxiety, depression, addiction and inner turmoil. By releasing and honoring those behavioral states, it allowed me to fully step into a new way of viewing life and my past, with a compassionate and open heart. As a result, what I have come to realize is that everything we take on as a habit, behavior, belief or attitude has a positive intention, all though the outcome may not be positive. By viewing our selves in this way, it allows space for us to consent to our past and embrace all of who we are.
Trained in a wide variety of healing techniques such as NLP, grief counseling, parenting, communication, stress management and traditional counseling allows me to offer a unique and individualized approach with every person that I have the honor of working with. The techniques that I use in individual counseling are dependent on your specific needs and concerns. Through deep listening, gentleness and empathy, I am able to intuitively guide you into the unconscious parts of yourself enabling the truth to come forward and be resolved and released. Typically, you will have breakthroughs within 3 or 4 sessions, resulting in profound and deep transformation.
